How it works

How it works: from photos to an interactive 3D house tour

Four steps, and the longest one is the upload.

  1. /01

    Upload your 360 photos

One equirectangular photo per room, straight from a 360 camera or your phone's panorama mode. JPEG or PNG, 2:1 ratio.

  2. /02

    Name each room

Your room names become the tour's navigation menu, so a visitor always knows which part of the property they are standing in.

  3. /03

    Link the rooms with hotspots

Drop a point where a doorway is and pick the room it opens onto. That is the entire linking step — no floor plan, no alignment, no CAD.

  4. /04

    Publish and share one link

You get a single URL that opens in any browser. Paste it into the listing, an email, a WhatsApp thread or a QR code in the window display.

Typical five-room property: done in under ten minutes.

Navigation

Clickable hotspots between rooms — you place them, we link them

A hotspot is a point you drop on the panorama that moves the visitor to another scene. It is what turns a folder of separate 360 photos into one continuous walkthrough.

Place a point, pick a destination

Two clicks per doorway. The point keeps its position in the panorama as the visitor looks around it.

Two-way by default

Link the hallway to the kitchen and the way back is created for you, so nobody ever gets stranded in a room with no exit.

Information points, not just doors

Drop a point on the boiler, the storage or the view and attach a note — the questions buyers ask before they agree to a viewing.

A room menu that is always visible

Visitors can jump straight to any scene instead of retracing the walk, which is what most people actually do on a second pass.

Your branding on the viewer

Your logo, your colours and your contact details sit on the tour, so the enquiry reaches you and not a marketplace.

Any phone, no app

The tour is a web page. Touch to pan on mobile, drag on desktop, and gyroscope movement where the device supports it.

Why it pays off

Get more views and qualified leads on your listings

A tour does two jobs at once: it makes the listing stand out in a grid of flat photos, and it filters out the viewings that were never going to convert.

24/7

Open house

Buyers walk the property at midnight, from another country, as many times as they want to.

1 link

Everywhere at once

Portal, website, WhatsApp, email signature, QR code in the window. The same URL, nothing to install.

Fewer

Wasted viewings

Someone who books after walking the tour already knows the layout. They come to decide, not to look around.

Portals differ in how they accept third-party tours. Check your portal's media rules before publishing.

Compare

Against booking a 3D scanner service

The usual alternative is a technician with a 3D camera, priced per property.

Terminology

360° tour, 3D tour, virtual tour — what is the difference?

Listings use the three terms interchangeably, but they describe different things. Here is what each one actually means.

360° tour
A set of panoramic photos, one per room, linked by hotspots. You stand in fixed positions and look around in every direction. This is what VibePeak builds.
3D tour
In everyday listing language, the same thing. Strictly speaking it can also mean a scanned dollhouse model you move through freely, which needs a 3D scanner.
Virtual tour
The umbrella term. It covers 360° tours, 3D tours and narrated video walkthroughs — including the listing videos VibePeak generates from the same photos.

FAQ

Questions agents ask before their first tour

Everything that usually comes up between shooting the property and sending the link.

Do I need a 360 camera?+

You need 360 photos. Most agents get them from an entry-level 360 camera, but the panorama or photo sphere mode on a modern phone also produces a usable equirectangular image. What you do not need is a 3D scanner or a technician visit.

How long does one tour take to build?+

The upload is the slow part. For a five-room property most agents are finished in under ten minutes: upload the photos, name the rooms, drop a hotspot in each doorway, publish.

What exactly is a hotspot?+

A clickable point you place on the panorama. Clicking it moves the visitor to the scene you linked it to, usually the room behind that doorway. Hotspots are what turn separate 360 photos into one continuous walkthrough.

Can I publish the tour on a property portal?+

You get an ordinary URL, so you can paste it wherever a portal accepts a virtual tour link and embed it on your own site with an iframe. Portals differ in what they allow, so check your portal's media rules first.

Does the buyer have to install anything?+

No. The tour is a web page. It opens in Safari, Chrome or any modern browser, on desktop and on mobile, with nothing to download.

Can I update a tour after publishing it?+

Yes. Replace a room's photo or move a hotspot and publish again. The link stays the same, so everything you already shared keeps working.

Can I put my agency's branding on it?+

Yes. Your logo, colours and contact details sit on the viewer, so enquiries come to you rather than to the platform hosting the tour.

Should I use a tour or a listing video?+

Both, and for different jobs. The video is what stops the scroll in the portal grid and on social; the tour is for the buyer who is already interested and wants to explore at their own pace. VibePeak generates both from the same property.
